Emma has been in love with yoga from the moment she went to her first class 20 years ago. The yoga was in her village community hall in England. Her teacher was 72 years old and such an inspiration to her, then and now. She's been addicted ever since.
When she moved to the States ten years ago she decided she wanted to share this amazing gift and decided to become a teacher.
Emma
studied at Kripalu and is a certified Kripalu teacher, also taking
classes with Baron Baptiste and completing her vinyasa teacher training
from Shivea Rea. In her classes Emma includes many elements that
inspire her teachings, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Power and for her
stronger classes, vinyasa yoga is her passion and love.
She knows she sounds clichéd, but she says yoga has really saved her life - many times over! She
says yoga isn't just about what your body and mind do when they're in
the class and on the mat, but more about how you use your yoga in your
everyday life off the mat.
Yoga, she feels, should be a soulful, fun and purely joyous way to discover the incredible home we live in called our body. Emma's
philosophy is not to take yourself too seriously (but always take the
Art of Yoga seriously) and she encourages this in her engaging, playful
and relaxed environment which is full of self-discovery and fun classes.
